American Fidelity Reunion

Our Annual American Fidelity "after Christmas" lunch was awesome. We tried, between children's needs, to catch up. We decided we were in great need of an all adult get together on brookside! Thanks Sophie... You were a great photographer!

Ice Ice Baby

McKailey, Maddox, & Tinkerbell thought the ice was awesome. Although, Tinkerbell did try to find a way across the patio without her feet touching for too long!

Are you kidding? This patio is COLD. I would fly across it if I could!

Ho Ho Ho

We had a fabulous Santa Party! Cindy Kirkpatrick was so kind to create some gingerbread houses (not to mention haul them into the clubhouse in the CRAZY wind today) for all of our special guests to decorate. Santa appeared as all of the children sat on his lap for photo opps. Santa listened as all of the children read their wish list to him. Maddox even disclosed his desired christmas present to Santa (choo choo table). McKailey was in pure delight on Santa's lap. Thanks to all of the moms that contributed to make our first annual Santa Party a huge success. Heather Hart and Robin Knight did a fabulous job on the clubhouse decorations, Bonnie McCulley sent out the adorable Santa invites, Aaron Tallman was our official photographer (wow, he can coach football & photograph little ones). Creed did an outstanding job on cleanup & managing to get running water for us for the day.

We left the party and headed straight to Urgent Care, once I realized McKailey was running a fever. She was a trooper and never complained; however, she had that glazed eye look by the end of the party & I slowed down long enough to take her temperature. As I reflected upon the party and realized everyone was swapping frosting and licking off of their knives as they decorated their gingerbread houses, I realized, she sent every one of our guest off with an extra special Christmas present today...... Exposure to STREP THROAT!!!!
Merry Christmas!!!

Outlaw Cheer

Maddox, Did you say "O" for Outlaws? Go outlaws? Or .... Is that a yawn. Is this football game boring you?

Our Cute Little Squad

McKailey has started her first year of cheerleading! Her little squad is the cutest bunch on the field! We are a little partial! My friend Aimee Fowler and I are co-coaches. We are having a blast with this group of girls! They are so sweet and eager to learn the cheers. We have a VERY VOCAL group of girls. The other teams always tell us they can hear our girls form their side of the field. The second game out, a little girl did a cartwheel and accidently kicked Mckailey in the mouth. She was bleeding; however, overall she took it like a champ. I explained to the girls that the football players were suppose to be the ones gushing blood on the field!

Tink - Tink - Tinkerbell

I have learned that you can never rule out options. Just when I think to myself something is impossible, I am quickly reminded that... with patience things can come ones way.
We have a new addition to our home. Those of you that know my husband, will agree that this was not in the slightest way a possibility at the Holt home. After several discussions with my husband, I had given up on the whole idea. It took just one little question from a precious little five year old with alligator tears and a broken pitch in her voice... and WALL.....LA..... It is official.. The Holt family has joined the crowd. We are now the proud owners of.... Tink Tink Tinkerbell. The teacup poodle. She will only reach a total of 2 and half pounds (Maddox... please DO NOT destroy)!
The best part of the story... Creed spent an evening at Pets Mart buying pet accessories. It was a lot like having a baby. Creed went to the store and purchased everything invented by man that the store sold for puppies. The best part was... Before Creed left the house for his shopping adventure, McKailey had stuck a pink hair bow in her daddy's hair to be funny. Creed failed to remember he had it on the top of his head and as he checked out at Pets Mart with a pink carrier and other pink accessories... the checker asked him if he had a thing for PINK... as she pointed to the top of his head. He just replied... "You should see my underwear"

Happy 2nd Birthday Maddox Daydon Holt

Maddox turned two Saturday, August 2nd. This sounds so cliche', however, we cannot believe how quickly the last two years have passed. This little guy has been such a blessing to our family. His big sister McKailey is so good with him. We are so blessed with our awesome children. We have figured out that Maddox will be the kid... just out for a great time. He is always ready to laugh and be silly. We love you little guy!!! Happy birthday!

Big Sister McKailey counted down the days till the party. She helped decorate. You would have thought it was her birthday.. She was so excited

Maddox enjoyed opening his gifts. He really wanted to play with everything as he opened it. He is already used the the "Harris style Christmas" Open..show everyone..play with it! He finally got the idea that we had to move on to the next present so our birthday guests did not have to spend the night. He told each gift "bye" "bye" before we moved to the next
